The official yogic journey of Bro. Kamean (Kemetic Yogi) began a decade ago in Atlanta Georgia. His pilgrimage to ancient Kemet (Egypt) in 2008 inspired his interest in the African Origins of Yoga. Following his pilgrimage he tracked down Master Teacher Yirser Ra Hotep of the YogaSkills School of Kemetic Yoga, in order to study Kemetic Yoga, He was finally able to study with the Master Teacher in New York City in 2011 and then again in Jamaica in 2012, in which he was certified on both occasions. After completing his training, Bro. Kamean (Kemetic Yogi) resigned from his job as an elementary school teacher to follow his calling on the yogic path, transforming his house into a yoga 🧘🏾♂️ temple and serving his community for two years in a period of Seva. Along his journey he would also acquire his Master Ra Sekhi (Kemetic Reiki) through the Ra SekhI Arts Temple, his Doula Certification through the Matrona, in addition to other certifications along the way that would help him to transform his work into a wellness movement for the African Diasporan community in the USA and around the world.
